Description

Holy balls this took forever. With my schedule the way it is, I was hoping to get it done by Halloween. Looks like I came in just under the wire.

Enjoy all you little freaks, and Happy Halloween! :)

This was an amazing piece. You and your co-artists should be very pleased with yourselves. The inked lines are very clean, fluid, and crisp. The perspective is pretty much dead on (no pun intended) with a style that loosely resembles the horror comics of the late silver-bronze age of American comics (early issues of Swamp Thing, while he is not a zombie, may aid you guys with inspiration in style and colors).

Now, on to your colors, since you are the one suggesting the critique, I am assuming this is where you want the focus to be.

Your coloring and use of shading is done real well. I applaud you with keeping the colors more basic on this piece. Going overboard and using many colors for an added sense of realism sometimes detracts from the beauty of pencils and inks themselves. Don't be afraid to use more colors and shading where applicable, however.

Bonus for making the zombies not all a uniform color. Making all zombies (and human characters as well) the exact some color and tone is a fatal flaw alot of colorists seem to make and they in turn, loose a sense of believability with the audience.

Another suggestion: experiment and play around with your brushes, filters, and textures. They can sometimes do the same effect or better than you're trying to create in matter of seconds vs minutes or hours. Using a wide variety brushes would also add another dynamic element to your work.

All in all, great work. Keep it up!
